BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS

Cal Arnau has 8/9 bedrooms (6 ensuite) and can comfortably sleep 24 guests. The bedrooms are configured as follows;

Bedroom 1 – king 30′ x 10′ Master bedroom ensuite with panoramic views.
Bedroom 2 – king 20′ x 9′ connected to master bathroom.
Bedroom 3 – king 26′ x 14′.
Bedroom 4 – king 20′ x 14′ Bedroom 3 and 4 share a separate bathroom.
Bedroom 5 – king 15′ x 10′ Ensuite bathroom with shower.
Bedroom 6 – king · single (8) · Cot 40″ x 30″ This is more like a dormitory-could sleep 12.
Bedroom 7 – double 36′ x 20′ Can sleep 5-ensuite bathroom.
Bedroom 8 – king 24′ x 20′ Ensuite bathroom.
Bedroom 9 – adjoins bedroom 8 to create large dormitory room.

There are 6 spacious and light bathrooms configured as follows:

Bathroom 1 – toilet, bath, shower, 20′ x 20′.
Bathroom 2 – toilet, shower, shared by bedroom 2 & 3.
Bathroom 3 – toilet, shower, 15′ x 6′ ensuite for bedroom 5.
Bathroom 4 – toilet, shower, 30’x 20′ large space for large bedroom.
Bathroom 5 – toilet, shower, 20′ x 15′ ensuite for bedroom 7.
Bathroom 6 – toilet, bath, shower, 24′ x 12′ ensuite for bedroom 8.

INTERIOR

The interior of Masia Cal Arnau is bright, spacious and airy with high ceilings and mezzanines. Many of the original features have been restored and enhanced and every modern comfort provided. The furnishings are a mix of traditional and contemporary styles and every effort has been made to create a relaxing and uncluttered feel.

There are relaxing lounge areas with wood burners for the cooler out of season evenings and two different areas where up to 12 guests can dine together. There is additional seating outside to comfortable seat 25 for dinner.

There is a TV and various DVDs for guest enjoyment and the gallery on the mezzanine houses several hundred books.

The kitchen is bright, spacious and is fully equipped with everything necessary to cater for large groups. There is also a large table seating 12 guests.

GARDENS & OUTSIDE SPACES

Cal Arnau offers 12 acres of delightful grounds including a large open garden and fantastic 12m x 6m swimming pool. There is river frontage and fishing and canoeing are among the many activities available at the property. The large courtyard of the house offers the ideal space for barbecues and outdoor dining.

Numerous activities can be enjoyed within the grounds including boules, badminton, angling, cycling and there is also a rudimentary golf hole for practice. The grounds are perfect for strolling and discovering quite corners for relaxation and reflection.

THINGS TO DO

The area around Cal Arnau is so blessed with attractions and places of historical interest that there are too many to mention here. Highlights would be the historic city of Girona just 10 minutes away, The Dali Museum 22 km away and a Michelin starred restaurant close to the house. The beautiful beaches and fishing villages of the Costa Brava can be reached in 35 minutes and a trip to the Catalan capital of Barcelona should not be missed.
